Yesterday Haze 2

“The novel *Yesterday Haze* is set in the peaceful and dusty San Joaquin Valley in California and tells the story of a farmer’s wife who, after a decades-long affair with an agricultural aircraft pilot, decides to confess the truth to her husband (who, as it turns out, is also her lover’s employer). This piquant and subtly dark tale unfolds like a dream, gently shifting one’s perception of reality like the colours of a fading twilight. It is both moving and heart-wrenching – a feat rarely achieved with such lightness.”

Notes: Fig, iris, cream, tonka bean, tree bark, bitter walnut, orchard dust.

Memories this fragrance may evoke: Running freely as a child, without a care in the world, exploring parched gardens and orchards, marvelling at a misty sunset from some magnificent vantage point.

Memories this scent may evoke: A long-awaited trip to the Mediterranean, a dream cheese platter, buying a two-hundred-year-old, crumbling stone cottage for cash on the outskirts of a small village, home to one marvellous wine cellar, where a cat is always sleeping in the window.
